Terms of Use
Short version: this is a free game made for children. Play it, share the link, use it in your classroom. It comes with no guarantees, and it is not a substitute for a chemistry teacher.
Using the game
Periodic Panic is free to play. You may link to it, play it at home or at school, and use it in a lesson without asking permission or paying anything. There is no account and nothing to buy.
What you may not do
- Sell the game, or charge people for access to it.
- Republish it as your own work, or remove the credits.
- Wrap it in advertising, tracking, or anything that collects data from players.
- Try to break, overload or interfere with the site or the people using it.
The chemistry
Every power, reaction and fact in the game is based on real chemistry. Even so, the game simplifies things for a young audience: it is entertainment that teaches, not a reference, a textbook, or a source for schoolwork that has to be exactly right.
Nothing in this game is an instruction to try anything at home. Several of the reactions shown are genuinely dangerous in real life. Real chemistry belongs in a real lab, with a real adult supervising.
No warranty
The game is provided "as is". It may contain mistakes, it may stop working, and it may change or disappear at any time. It is offered with no warranty of any kind, and no liability is accepted for any loss or damage arising from using it. Saved progress lives only in your own browser and can be lost — clearing your browser data, using a private window, or switching device will lose it.
Children
The game is designed for roughly ages 7 to 12 and has no chat, no accounts, no user-generated content and no links out to other people's sites. The privacy page explains exactly what is and is not stored.
Changes
These terms may be updated. The version in force is whatever this page says at the time you play, and any change is noted in the game's changelog.
